Where the negotiating table meets the real world

The Green Zone is the public face of COP31. Here, the climate goals negotiated in the Blue Zone take shape as projects, partnerships and solutions that touch everyday life.

Public institutions, local governments, businesses, academia, civil society, young people and artists come together in Antalya from 9 to 20 November 2026.

What is the Green Zone

A bridge from goals to implementation

The Climate Implementation Bridge, part of the COP31 Presidency's Action Agenda, aims to turn climate commitments into investment-ready projects. The Green Zone is built on the same idea: the priorities set in the negotiations meet the institutions, implementers and sources of finance that will bring them to life.

Thematic Hubs

Seven stages, one shared goal

The thematic hubs are seven stages aligned with the priorities of the COP31 Action Agenda. Each session brings the public sector, business, local governments, academia and civil society to the same table, so that every question is addressed from the perspectives of financiers, implementers and experts alike. Sessions are streamed live on YouTube and can be followed on the COP31 mobile app.

  1. Climate Finance

Public and private banks, participation banks, development and investment banks and financial institutions come together on this stage.

The agenda ranges from transition finance and the impact of carbon border adjustment on exporters to financing the zero waste economy, climate adaptation in agriculture and just transition. Sessions in which banks share their own green finance experience aim to build a direct bridge between project owners and sources of finance.

  2. Resilient Cities

With two stages, this hub hosts the most extensive programme in the Green Zone.

Metropolitan and district municipalities and municipal unions from across Türkiye, from Marmara to the Southeast and from the Aegean to the Black Sea, share their experience, joined by housing, urban regeneration, construction and infrastructure organisations and city-focused international networks. Climate-friendly buildings, energy-efficient façades, resilient health infrastructure, disaster risk management, smart cities and nature-based solutions are among the key themes.

  3. Energy and Transport

Energy generation and distribution organisations, renewable energy investors, energy technology companies and transport infrastructure operators meet on this stage.

Energy security, grid infrastructure, green electrification, biogas and renewable sources, electric and smart mobility, and the impact of low-carbon energy on youth employment are at the centre of the agenda. With public institutions and the private sector sharing new finance and investment initiatives, 10 November, Energy and Transport Day, will be one of the busiest days in the Green Zone.

  4. Science and Technology

Industrial and technology groups, telecommunications operators, domestic electric vehicle manufacturing, and software, network technology and industrial automation companies share the same stage.

Climate solutions developed with artificial intelligence and data, supply chain transparency, digital waste tracking, connected mobility and low-carbon technologies form the hub's main focus. Also home to startup pitches, the stage is expected to reach its peak on 16 November, Science, Industry and Technology Day.

  5. Green Industrialisation

This hub focuses on how production can move to a low-carbon model.

Cement, forest products and building materials producers, industrial groups, exporters' associations and industry organisations share their transformation experience here. Low-carbon cement and green procurement, circular production, water infrastructure in the Mediterranean, women's participation in STEM and human capital in industry are among the key topics.

  6. Zero Waste

With two stages, this hub puts Türkiye's zero waste vision and the work of implementing institutions at its centre.

Its programme is being shaped together with the Zero Waste Foundation, the pioneer of the zero waste movement in Türkiye. Launched in 2017, the movement became a global call when, on Türkiye's initiative, the UN General Assembly declared 30 March the International Day of Zero Waste. Deposit return systems, marine ecosystem protection, methane reduction and circular economy practices can be both heard about and experienced at the Zero Waste Application and Workshop Centre.

  7. COP31 Business Forum

As a dialogue platform for organisations representing the business community, the Forum brings businesses together around the green transformation agenda.

International investor associations, sector unions, logistics and investment organisations and financial authorities are among its participants. High-level discussions will address the investment climate, sustainable trade, the transformation of global value chains and the green transition of SMEs.
