Green Zone
The Green Zone is an open and collaborative space within COP31 where organizations, businesses, innovators and civil society come together to showcase climate solutions and connect with global audiences. Designed to encourage participation beyond formal negotiations, the Green Zone hosts exhibitions, discussions, workshops and networking opportunities focused on sustainability and climate action.
Unlike the Blue Zone, which is dedicated to official negotiations, the Green Zone serves as a platform for innovation, knowledge exchange and public engagement, bringing together participants from around the world to build partnerships for a sustainable future.
What is the Green Zone
The Green Zone is an inclusive platform designed to bring together a wide range of stakeholders working on climate action. While the Blue Zone hosts official negotiations and government delegations, the Green Zone focuses on collaboration, innovation and public engagement.
It provides a space where organizations, innovators and communities can present projects, host discussions and engage with global audiences throughout COP31.
Key activities in the Green Zone include:
- Climate innovation exhibitions
- Organization and country pavilions
- Public talks and workshops
- Cultural events and interactive experiences
- Networking and partnership opportunities

COP-ART
COP-ART is the culture and art programme dedicated to turning climate action into climate awareness through art. Works created from recycled materials turn the Green Zone into an open-air art museum.
COP ENTERTAINMENT
COP ENTERTAINMENT is the events programme that helps turn the Climate Summit into a broader public movement for climate awareness. Concerts, workshops, receptions and panel discussions come to life in the Green Zone through this programme.
COP-SCIENCE
The COP-SCIENCE platform has been established to strengthen the contribution of the academic community to climate action within COP31. You are invited to submit your proposals for academic events, research, projects and collaborations. All submissions will be reviewed by the relevant committee.
